La
descente du vallon de Challandre est une course peu aquatique. La première
partie, de faible dénivellation, est assez longue. On longe le ruisseau
et il faut y apprécier le paysage sylvestre environnant. Ce parcours
débouche sur un cirque aux parois abruptes. Le ruisseau les dévale
par plusieurs belles cascades qui raviront l'amateur de rappel. Comme au Raton
et à Amen, la pélite rouge compose un paysage inhabituel. Cette
descente facile et peu engagée peut convenir à une séance
d'initiation au rappel.
Il faut faire une navette en véhicule (2 km). La marche d'approche demande environ 1 h. La descente s'effectue en 2h30 à 3h30. Pas de marche de sortie.
The descent of the Challandre creek is a not very aquatic course. The first part, quite horizontal, is a bit long. We walk along the stream and it is better to appreciate the surrounding forested landscape. Then the creek opens up on a steep-walled cirque. The stream flows down in a serie of beautiful waterfalls which will please the abseil lovers. Like in the Raton and Amen, the red rock forms an unusual landscape. This easy descent can be suited for an initiation to abseiling.
The car shuttle is 2 km long. The access walk requires about 1 h. The descent takes 2h30 to 3h30. No exit walk.
